Autor de estudios clínicos longitudinales de referencia que siguieron la supervivencia de implantes durante 10 a 20 años en pacientes tratados por periodontitis, investigaciones que han dado forma a la base de evidencia actual para la selección de pacientes, los protocolos de mantenimiento y el manejo de las enfermedades periimplantarias. Autor de más de 200 publicaciones revisadas por pares en Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Clinical Oral Implants Research y otras revistas líderes. Coautor de ITI Treatment Guide Volume 12: Peri-Implant Soft-Tissue Integration and Management. Miembro del consejo editorial de Clinical Oral Implants Research, International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry e International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry.
