La ortodoncia, dentro de la odontología es considerada la ciencia que estudia y atiende el desarrollo de la oclusión y su corrección por medio de aparatos mecánicos que ejercen fuerzas físicas sobre la dentición y los tejidos circundantes, buscando la normalización oclusal por el movimiento controlado de los dientes o el desplazamiento de los arcos dentarios.
Todo ortodoncista clasifica para poder tratar. Diagnosticamos para poder aplicar diferentes protocolos de tratamientos específicos para determinada maloclusión. En nuestra clase del día de hoy desglosaremos los distintos los tipos de maloclusiones divididos en 3 grandes grupos: maloclusiones de clase I, II y III cada una de ellas con sus sub clasificaciones.
