Profesor de Fisiología Oral y Gnatología Clínica especializado en trastornos temporomandibulares y bruxismo. Catedrático en el Departamento de Biotecnologías Médicas, Universidad de Siena, Italia, desde 2017.
Más de 25 años de experiencia clínica e investigadora en diagnóstico y tratamiento de TTM. Anteriormente se desempeñó como profesor asistente y coordinador de proyectos de investigación en la Clínica de TTM, Departamento de Cirugía Maxilofacial, Universidad de Padua (2006-2016). Reconocido internacionalmente como una de las principales autoridades en investigación y manejo del bruxismo.
Conferenciante internacional habiendo enseñado en más de 50 conferencias importantes en todo el mundo. Editor del libro de texto "Conceptos Actuales sobre Trastornos Temporomandibulares" (Quintessence Publishing, 2010), con contribuciones de 45 expertos de renombre mundial.
DDS de la Universidad de Pisa, Italia. PhD en Odontología de ACTA Ámsterdam (2011), tesis titulada "El Triángulo: Bruxismo, Dolor y Factores Psicosociales" bajo la supervisión del profesor Frank Lobbezoo. Especialización en Ortodoncia de la Universidad de Ferrara (2017). Diplomado del Consejo Americano de Dolor Orofacial (2021). Autor de más de 300 publicaciones en revistas indexadas en Medline con índice H de Scopus de 40. Miembro activo de la Academia Europea de Dolor y Disfunción Orofacial (EAOPD).
