Antes de incorporarse a ATSU, ejerció la ortodoncia en Corea del Sur durante 10 años y fue Clinical Assistant Professor en Kyung Hee University, Seúl.
Diplomate del American Board of Orthodontics, ABO. Director del ABO entre 2017 y 2025 en representación de la Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, culminando como presidente del American Board of Orthodontics en mayo de 2024. Deputy Editor-in-Chief del American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, AJO-DO, y de AJO-DO Clinical Companion. Associate Editor del Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists, Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research y Korean Journal of Orthodontics. Miembro del consejo editorial de The Angle Orthodontist y Seminars in Orthodontics.
