Una de las figuras más influyentes en el desarrollo global de la cirugía ósea piezoeléctrica — el primer clínico en introducir los dispositivos Piezosurgery en la región Asia-Pacífico (2002). Desarrollador e investigador principal de la técnica Hydrodynamic Piezoelectric Internal Sinus Elevation (HPISE) (2008) — un abordaje transcrestal, sin colgajo y mínimamente invasivo que combina vibración ultrasónica y presión hidráulica para elevar la membrana sinusal sin ventana lateral. Un estudio clínico multicéntrico de 250 senos maxilares mediante HPISE mostró una ganancia ósea vertical media de 5,49 mm y una tasa de éxito implantario del 97,2 %, con una tasa de perforación de la membrana del 2,83 %.

 

Autor de dos libros de texto en coreano: Immediate Loading with Provisional Implants (Ji-Sung Publishing, 2002) y Clinical Applications of Sintered Porous Surface Implants (Gun-Ja Publishing).
