Las maloclusiones de clase III son de las más complicadas de resolver, debido a que un gran porcentaje de ellas limitan con el tratamiento quirúrgico.
Para poder realizar un tratamiento de camuflaje en casos de clase III esquelética es de suma importancia el diagnóstico e identificar la causa de la maloclusión.
En esta lección, apoyándonos en un caso clínico, le mostraremos la evaluación clínica y cefalométrica que debe realizar, además los criterios más importantes para la resolución de un caso de retratamiento de un paciente con una maloclusión esquelética de clase III con patrón dolicofacial, poco crecimiento antero posterior de la maxila y con latero desviación mandibular.
El tratamiento se realizó con un abordaje inicial de arco recto (MBT) y luego finalizando con MEAW.
