Profesor del Department of Oral Health Sciences, Section Endodontology, de KU Leuven University, Bélgica, y clínico asistencial en los University Hospitals of Leuven. Su investigación se centra en endodoncia mínimamente invasiva, reabsorción cervical externa y el desarrollo de nuevos materiales y técnicas biológicas para la terapia endodóntica.
Es coautor de la ESE Position Statement on Root Resorption de 2023, documento de consenso de la European Society of Endodontology publicado en el International Endodontic Journal. Es autor y coautor de investigaciones indexadas sobre factores predisponentes para la reabsorción cervical externa y resultados de tratamiento a largo plazo. También contribuye al grupo de investigación KU Leuven BIOMAT, uno de los principales grupos europeos de investigación en biomateriales dentales.
