a) en la dirección transversal:

- expansión maxilar y/o estrechamiento mandibular

- laterodesviaciones mandibulares funcionales

- laterodesviaciones mandibulares esqueléticas.

b) en la dirección sagital:

- distorsiones mandibulares

- aumento mandibular

- disminución en el tamaño del arco superior

- disminución en la longitud del arco superior.

c) en la dirección vertical:

- bases convergentes.
