Горизонтальная импакция второго моляра может вызвать появление глубокого кармана на дистальной поверхности первого моляра. Лечение горизонтальной импакции второго моляра очень трудоемко и требует много времени. Удаление таких зубов и автоматическая аутотрансплантация третьих моляров с развивающимися корнями в лунку удаленного второго моляра позволит восстановить костную ткань, клетки связки пародонта и цемент на дистальной поверхности первого моляра.

Ortodoncista e investigador con sede en Hong Kong, y fundador, presidente y director de Professor Rabie's Institute of Graduate Orthodontics. Su enfoque clínico y de investigación abarca terapia con aparatos funcionales para maloclusiones esqueléticas de Clase II, mecánicas asistidas por TAD con y sin extracciones, manejo de mordida abierta y mordida profunda, y la respuesta del crecimiento craneofacial a la ortopedia funcional maxilar.
Fue profesor y jefe del Department of Orthodontics de la Faculty of Dentistry de la University of Hong Kong, donde dirigió un programa de investigación internacionalmente reconocido en crecimiento craneofacial y adaptación condilar. Es cofundador de CloudOrtho, una empresa de planificación ortodóncica digital. Ha publicado ampliamente en International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Journal of Surgery, Angle Orthodontist, American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics y otras revistas indexadas. Ha recibido múltiples premios internacionales a la mejor investigación publicada.
