Over 35 years of combined clinical, teaching, and research experience in endodontics. Expert in endodontic irrigation solutions and protocols, antimicrobial efficacy of irrigants, root canal disinfection strategies, activation techniques for irrigation systems, and advanced imaging applications in endodontics. Research focuses on mode of action of different irrigation solutions, interaction between various irrigants, exposure time and concentration factors affecting irrigant effectiveness, devices for activation of endodontic irrigants, and micro-CT evaluation of root canal instrumentation and cleaning efficacy.
Author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading endodontic journals during the past two decades on topics including supplemental irrigation systems, shaping characteristics of nickel-titanium instruments evaluated with micro-CT, chlorhexidine gluconate effects on root canal disinfection, and prevention of hypochlorite accidents. Editor of the textbook "Endodontic Radiology, 2nd Edition" (Wiley-Blackwell, 2012), a comprehensive clinical reference on radiographic diagnosis and CBCT applications in endodontics. Member of editorial boards and peer reviewer for multiple international endodontic journals. International lecturer presenting worldwide on advanced irrigation techniques, endodontic disinfection protocols, instrumentation systems, and evidence-based endodontic treatment from anesthesia to obturation. Research Ethics Board approval for multiple studies at University of Toronto investigating root canal preparation and disinfection protocols.
DDS from School of Dentistry, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (1989). Diploma as Specialist in Endodontics from Argentinian Society of Endodontics and Ministry of Public Health and Welfare. PhD from Maimonides University, Faculty of Dentistry, Buenos Aires, for dissertation on chlorhexidine gluconate effects in root canal disinfection. Academic License from Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (2004). Endodontic Specialty License from Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (2006).
