Profesor Asociado y Coordinador Internacional de la Section of Orofacial Pain and Jaw Function, Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, Aarhus University, Aarhus, Dinamarca (desde septiembre de 2021; Assistant/Associate Professor desde 2008). Miembro del Scandinavian Center for Orofacial Neurosciences (SCON).
Su investigación abarca todo el espectro del dolor orofacial y la medicina dental del sueño: trastornos temporomandibulares, bruxismo, modelos experimentales de dolor muscular, apnea del sueño y función de la vía aérea superior, y mecanismos psicofísicos del dolor. Ex PostDoc en Karolinska Institutet, Estocolmo (2009 — modelos experimentales craneofaciales con solución salina ácida) y en Aalborg University (2008 — inyecciones experimentales miofasciales de dolor evocado por glutamato). Colaborador internacional en guías de consenso para el diagnóstico EMG del bruxismo del sueño, el desarrollo de guías para la clasificación DC/TMD y los estándares educativos de medicina dental del sueño. Coordinador de los programas de intercambio internacional para estudiantes de odontología de Aarhus University y colaborador en la transformación digital del departamento.
