Profesora asociada del Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences, DIBINEM, University of Bologna, y periodoncista en práctica privada. Su enfoque clínico y de investigación incluye cirugía plástica mucogingival, manejo de tejidos blandos alrededor de implantes, procedimientos de cobertura radicular y terapia periodontal regenerativa.
Se encuentra entre las investigadoras más activas de la escuela Zucchelli de cirugía plástica periodontal y ha recibido más de 5.400 citas en Google Scholar. Es autora principal de la revisión sistemática del EFP Focused Workshop 2024 sobre recesiones gingivales múltiples. Es coautora de un capítulo del libro Implant Therapy, editado por M. Nevins y H.L. Wang. Su investigación ha sido publicada en el International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry y en otras revistas líderes revisadas por pares. Es ITI Fellow desde 2018 y fue Visiting Professor en San Raffaele University, Milán.
Es conferenciante en los principales congresos nacionales e internacionales de periodoncia, incluidos el AAP Annual Meeting y los congresos de la EFP. Es miembro del faculty práctico en cursos avanzados de cirugía plástica y reconstructiva periodontal junto al profesor Giovanni Zucchelli.
