Treatment of deep (severe) gingival recessions with LAST (Laterally Stretched Flaps)

Doctor Nelson Carranza received his dental degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1989 and obtained his specialty Certificate in Periodontics from the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in 1993. He was trained in research at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and at OHSU where he obtained a Master of Science degree in Oral Molecular Biology in 1997. He additionally obtained a Doctorate Degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2009. Since early Dr. Carranza was continuously devoted to the development of a successful academic career, filling the position of Professor and Chair of Periodontology, and Director of Graduate Periodontology at the School of Dentistry, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina from 2010 to 2017. He also leads a private practice at the Carranza Institute, exclusively dedicated to periodontics, and periodontal plastic microsurgery, and implant dentistry. Dr. Carranza is the author of several scientific publications, and a recognized international lecturer in the fields of bone and soft tissue reconstruction, and aesthetic implant dentistry.
