Dr.Rasperini received his D.D.S. from the University of Pavia in 1990, his certificate of specialist in Orthodontics from the University of Milan in 1997, his certificate as Active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP) in 1997. He later received his certificate as Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) in 2009 and he became Full Member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry in 2016

Dr. Rasperini is member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry and is ad hoc reviewer in the editorial boards of multiple journals.

He has published and lectured extensively in the fields of Periodontology and Implantology, Regenerative Medicine, Surgical techniques for periodontal and peri-implant reconstruction.

Winner of Awards for research with his co-workes: International Quintessence Publishing Award (Boston 2000 - 2004), Goldman Prize (SIdP 1996 - 2010 - 2017), Clinical Research Award (EAO 2010), Earl Robinson Periodontal Regeneration Award (AAP 2012), Align Research Award (2013).

In 2017, he founded the iPerio Education Center in Piacenza, Italy, with Dr. Giorgio Pagni and Dr. Raffaele Acunzo, were they teach their philosophy of treatment and concepts of the modern dentistry.

Lead educator and researcher at Advanced PRF Education and an Adjunct Visiting Faculty in the department of Periodontology in Bern, Switzerland.

Has written 2 best-selling textbooks widely distributed in regenerative dentistry including his most recent in 2019 titled: “Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone and Periodontal Regeneration” and a 2nd in 2017 titled: “Platelet Rich Fibrin in Regenerative Dentistry: From Biological Background to Clinical Indications”.

Has currently published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and lectures internationally on many topics relating to growth factors, bone biomaterials and guided bone regeneration.

He has recently been awarded many recent international prizes in dentistry and is widely considered as one of the top contributors to implant dentistry having won the ITI Andre Schroeder Prize.

 

Received his doctorat in dentistry (DDS) in 1978 from the Faculty of Dentistry, Aix-Marseille University, France.

He was certified in Anthropology in 1979, in fixed prosthodontic and Occlusodontology in 1980.

He received his master (DSO) in 1983.

He became assistant in fixed prosthodontic department in 1985.

He received his Doctorat d`Universite  – University thesis- in 1990 (PhD).

In 1993 he was associated professor, Chairman of the Occlusion and Dysfunction department of Faculty of Dentistry of Marseille. In this university, he manages a postgraduate education program in occlusion and TMD and a postgraduate education program in fixed prosthetic.

From 2007, he is Full Professor of University. He is Visiting professor of Donau University.

He was President of the French National College of Occlusodontology in 1995-96.

He is member of the European Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders.

He was President of International Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Dentistry (iAAID).

He had published 6 books and more than 130 scientific papers about occlusion, TMD and prosthodontics.

Ha publicado más de 240 publicaciones acerca la oclusión, los trastornos del TMJ y el dolor en la cavidad bucal en diferentes revistas nacionales e internacionales. Autor de dos manuales sobre los trastornos del TMJ y el dolor en la zona mandibular, que han sido traducidos en once idiomas. Conferencista invitado más de 1300 veces con acuaciones sobre el tema del TMJ y el dolor orofacial en todos los 50 estados (de EEUU) y 58 países del mundo. Recibió el premio «Dentista del año» de la Academia Internacional de Odontología. Es el mayor premio otorgado por la Academia, que se le ha entregado en reconocimiento de sus esfuerzos a nivel mundial por proporcionar la educación en los temas de las enfermedades del TMJ y el dolor orofacial.
