Former Director of the Center for Esthetic Dentistry at USC. Specialist in biomimetic restorative dentistry, aesthetic ceramics, and adhesive techniques. One of the world's leading authorities on minimally invasive aesthetic restorations and biomimetic dentistry principles.
Over 35 years of combined teaching, research, and clinical experience in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. Expert in biomimetic approaches to anterior and posterior restorations, adhesive bonding protocols, ceramic veneer and onlay techniques, microtensile bond strength testing, and efficient 3-D finite element analysis of dental restorative procedures using micro-CT data. Research focuses on biomechanical behavior of bonded restorations, stress distribution in restored teeth, fracture resistance of minimally invasive preparations, and long-term clinical performance of adhesive ceramic restorations.
Author of over 150 peer-reviewed publications in leading dental journals on topics including biomimetic restorative techniques, adhesive dentistry, ceramic materials, and finite element analysis of restored teeth. Reviewer for multiple international journals. International lecturer presenting worldwide on biomimetic dentistry, minimally invasive aesthetic restorations, adhesive bonding techniques, and evidence-based approaches to anterior and posterior ceramic restorations. Instructor for hands-on courses teaching systematic protocols for aesthetic veneer and onlay preparations. Known for systematic scientific approach combining clinical excellence with rigorous biomechanical research using advanced imaging and computational methods.
