Más de 27 años de experiencia clínica con enfoque en mantenimiento de rehabilitaciones soportadas por implantes incluyendo el concepto de tratamiento All-on-4. Desarrolló protocolos de mantenimiento integrales y herramientas epidemiológicas para maximizar el éxito a largo plazo de prótesis implantológicas de arco completo. Creó puntuaciones de evaluación de riesgo clínico para predicción de enfermedad periimplantaria y resultados desfavorables, permitiendo estrategias preventivas basadas en evidencia durante citas de mantenimiento.
Autoridad internacional en mantenimiento de implantes, habiendo presentado en numerosas conferencias nacionales e internacionales como ponente principal. Desarrollador del protocolo de mantenimiento MALO CLINIC integrando directrices clínicas con herramientas epidemiológicas para resultados óptimos de pacientes y clínicos. Educador en MALO CLINIC Education enseñando cursos prácticos de mantenimiento de implantes con enfoque clínico meticuloso combinando teoría con entrenamiento práctico.
Graduado en Higiene Oral de ISAVE (Institute of Higher Education of Alto Ave), Portugal. Máster en Epidemiología de Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal. Autor y coautor de más de 50 artículos científicos, publicaciones clínicas y capítulos de libros sobre rehabilitación oral, implantología y protocolos de mantenimiento de implantes. Colaborador habitual en revistas internacionales revisadas por pares sobre temas incluyendo enfermedad periimplantaria, evaluación de riesgo y factores de éxito de implantes a largo plazo.
