Neuromuscular dentistry explores the connections among the temporomandibular joints (TMJ), teeth, muscles, and nerves. It aims to establish the jaw's optimal physiological position in rehabilitation cases to achieve predictable results.

Médico ortodoncista con amplia experiencia docente en el campo de la Ortodoncia Neuromuscular. Recibió su título de Médico Summa Cum Laude de la Universidad de Nápoles en 1987 y su título de especialidad en Ortodoncia y Gnatología de la Universidad de Padua en 1990.
Su enfoque principal desde 1988 ha sido la aplicación de los principios neuromusculares a la ortodoncia. Desarrolló un protocolo único de diagnóstico y tratamiento de ortodoncia y concibió la ortodoncia neuromuscular como una rama distinta de la especialidad de ortodoncia.
Ha dado conferencias en Brasil, España, India, Baréin, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Canadá, República Checa, Rusia, Ucrania, Reino Unido e Italia desde 1989. Ha adquirido una amplia experiencia en patologías complejas de la ATM y cirugía maxilofacial como consultor hospitalario durante 15 años.
Director y profesor adjunto del Máster de Ortodoncia Neuromuscular de la Universitat de De Valls, Andorra 2015-2017. Fundador y Presidente del Colegio Internacional de Ortodoncia y Gnatología Neuromuscular en 2006. Profesor adjunto del Máster en Ortodoncia Neuromuscular de la Universitat Jaume I, Castellón, España.
