Es cofundador y vicepresidente de la Academia Bone Biomaterials and Beyond. Desde 2000, ha sido profesor en el Máster en Periodontología en la Universidad de Roma La Sapienza, y desde 2010 – en el Máster en Implantología y Tecnología en la Universidad de Pisa. Es reconocido como uno de los líderes mundiales en la regeneración de tejidos óseos. Dirige cursos y conferencias sobre este tema en todo el mundo.
 
Licenciatura en Odontología, Universidad de Ferrara, Italia. Higienista Dental Registrada, Forsyth School, Boston, U.S.A., Licenciatura en Literatura Clásica, Universidad de Bologna, Italia. Profesor Asistente: Máster en Prótesis e Implantología, Alma Mater Studiorum, Universidad de Bolonia; Máster Europeo en Aplicaciones de Láser Oral, Universidad de Parma y Universidad de Roma, y Máster en Cirugía y Patología Bucal, Universidad de Parma. 3 libros publicados en inglés: "Get sharp" y "non-surgical periodontal therapy, indicaciones, límites y protocolos clínicos con el uso adicional de láser de diodo" y un texto Atlas: "Peri-implant Diseases: Surgical Treatments, 2019 by Quintessense International ed , “Enfermedades periimplantarias: Protocolos no quirúrgicos” en prensa, 2020. También ha lanzado un DVD, en italiano e inglés, sobre el uso del láser de diodo, asociado a la instrumentación periodontal no quirúrgica.
 

He received his medical degree at Ferrara University (Italy) in 1978 and specialized in Dentistry at Genova University (Italy) in 1981. `Master of Science in Periodontology` at Boston University in 1984.

Active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology since 1987. Co-author in many articles and books.

Professor for the Periodontology Course at  Ferrara University from 1986 to 2000.

Teaching Professor on European Master Degree in Periodontology at Dental School University of Torino. Teaching Professor on  Master Degree in Oral Surgery and Patology in Parma University, focusing on GBR topics.

Director of  International Master program in Periodontology at Istituto Stomatologico Toscano (Unicamillus University Roma)

Private practice  limited to  Periodontology and Implantology in Ferrara (Italy).
