The most important thing is to make a differential diagnosis and choose the right treatment plan based on the evidence-based methods that will be described in this course.
You will learn to carry out a differential diagnostics between neurogenic and odontogenic pain, observe a patient correctly, create treatment plans, including drug therapy, and also be able to explain to the patient what is actually the cause of his suffer.

– Characteristics of neuropathic pain
– Differentiated diagnosis of neuropathic pain
– Treatment strategies used for patients with neuropathic pain.
Lección 6.Managing the tricky relationship between bruxism and orofacial pain
– Understanding the implications of bruxism definitions and constructs
– Reviewing risk factors and pathophysiology of bruxism
– Assessing bruxism in the clinic and in the lab
– Managing bruxism versus orofacial pain
– Identifying potential pitfalls.
Lección 7.Neuropathic Orofacial Pains. Drug therapy
– The mean of neuropathic pain
– Differences between neuropathic and nociceptive pain
– Terminology used to describe neuropathic orofacial pain according to the ICOP classification system
– Differential diagnosis of neuropathic or facial pain according to the ICOP classification
