Más de 45 años de experiencia clínica en casos endodónticos complejos, incluyendo procedimientos microquirúrgicos bajo microscopio operatorio y manejo de anatomías de conductos radiculares desafiantes. Formado en la Escuela de Odontología de Posgrado de la Universidad de Boston (1978-1980) bajo el profesor Herbert Schilder. Consultor hospitalario durante 15 años especializado en complicaciones endodónticas.
Conferenciante internacional habiendo enseñado en más de 60 países de todo el mundo desde 1985. Fundador y presidente del Warm Gutta-Percha Study Club y director del Centro de Capacitación Micro-Endodóntica en Florencia. Editor en jefe de Endo Tribune. Ha publicado más de 60 artículos en revistas científicas internacionales.
MD de la Universidad de Florencia (1973). Especialidad odontológica de la Universidad de Florencia (1977). Profesor asistente de endodoncia en la Escuela de Medicina Dental Henry M. Goldman de la Universidad de Boston, Universidad de Cagliari y Universidad de Brescia. Profesor de endodoncia microquirúrgica en la Universidad Federico II de Nápoles. Autor del libro de texto de tres volúmenes "Endodoncia" y "Micro-Endodoncia Quirúrgica" (Editorial EDRA), traducido a múltiples idiomas. Ex presidente de la Sociedad Italiana de Endodoncia (S.I.E.) y la Federación Internacional de Asociaciones Endodónticas (I.F.E.A.). Miembro activo de la Sociedad Europea de Endodontología (E.S.E.) y la Asociación Americana de Endodoncistas (A.A.E.).
