Programa
With Yoshi Terauchi, you will expand your expertise in endodontics, where even the most complex clinical cases are transformed into structured, predictable protocols, and clinical confidence becomes an integral part of your daily practice.
This advanced hands-on course by Yoshi Terauchi provides a comprehensive and systematic approach to complex endodontic treatment, including the management and shaping of C-shaped root canals, ledge bypassing, and retrieval of visible and invisible separated instruments from curved canals, as well as instrument fractures located in the apical third of the root.
You will experience two intensive days of advanced theoretical learning and hands-on practice.
During the seminar, you will learn about:
– Diagnosis and treatment planning for endodontic retreatment cases
– Management of ledged canals, including prevention of ledge formation and predictable, efficient bypass techniques
– Contemporary concepts for predictable and minimally invasive retrieval of visible and invisible instrument fragments
– Modern treatment approaches for endo-perio lesions.
During the hands-on session of the course, you will:
– Practice diagnosis and treatment planning for cases involving invisible instrument fragments
– Master root canal preparation protocols prior to instrument retrieval
– Apply ultrasonic retrieval techniques in challenging clinical situations
– Use combined retrieval protocols with ultrasonic and rotary instruments
– Select the most appropriate techniques for safe instrument retrieval and ledge bypassing
– Prevent complications and effectively manage clinical errors.
This is more than just a course— it’s the result of many years of clinical experience transformed into clear protocols and delivered directly from the lecturer to your everyday clinical practice.
Program
The Extended Participation Package includes Yoshi Terauchi endodontic kits for root canal retreatment procedures.
Day 1. Theory
The Art of Non-Surgical Root Canal Retreatment: Yoshi Terauchi’s Protocols
– Diagnosis in Retreatment:
- How to differentiate odontogenic pain from non-odontogenic pain
- Apical periodontitis associated with occlusion.
– Management of Cracked Teeth:
- Initiation of cracks in the tooth
- How do cracks propagate, leading to apical periodontitis?
- How to manage cracked teeth.
– Crown and Post Removal:
- Predictable removal of coronal restorations
- Predictable removal of metal posts.
– Regenerative Endodontic Therapy (RET):
- Indications for RET
- Reasons for RET failure
- Procedures for regenerating pulp tissue.
– Management of Nonvisible Ledges:
- How to prepare the canal for bypassing nonvisible ledges
- Predictable techniques for instrumenting the original canal beyond the ledge.
– Predictable Instrument Retrieval of Visible and Nonvisible Broken Files:
- Three factors affecting success in nonvisible broken file removal
- Diagnosis and treatment planning for broken file removal (BFR)
- Concepts of BFR
- Core root canal preparation methods
- Main techniques for broken instrument removal (BFR).
– Management of Endo-Perio Complications:
- Diagnosis and treatment planning for endo-perio complications
- Management of endo-perio lesions.
Day 2. Hands-on
Management of Nonvisible Broken File Removal
Objectives:
– Diagnosis and treatment planning
– Preparation protocols for retrieval
– Ultrasonic retrieval techniques
– Advanced retrieval techniques: combined ultrasonic and rotary instrument approaches.
During the hands-on session, participants will develop and refine manual skills using prepared models. The practical component includes:
– Diagnosis and treatment planning for nonvisible broken instrument cases
– Canal preparation for retrieval procedures
– Ultrasonic troughing and retrieval techniques
– Combined retrieval protocols using ultrasonic and rotary systems
– Retrieval of broken instruments in simulated curved canals
– Step-by-step retrieval workflows for apical and curved canal fractures
– Clinical troubleshooting and complication prevention techniques.
