Theoretical sessions, hands-on practice, live surgeries, and video demonstrations — all of this will be included in the course.
During the two intensive days of theoretical sessions, you will learn:
– Treatment protocols of single and multiple recessions in the upper and lower jaw
– The author's techniques of mucogingival surgery
– Treatment of recession around implants
– Soft tissue augmentation prior to implant placement.
On the second day of the course, Professor Giovanni Zucchelli will demonstrate live surgery on patients.
The third day will be entirely devoted to practicing hands-on exercises (on a pig jaw).

Profesor de periodoncia e implantología en la Universidad de Bolonia, Italia, desde 2000. Se graduó en la Universidad de Bolonia en 1988 y obtuvo un doctorado en biotecnología médica en la misma universidad en 1999. Cuenta con más de 30 años de experiencia clínica y académica, con un enfoque principal en la cirugía plástica periodontal y el manejo de tejidos blandos alrededor de dientes e implantes.
Es autor de más de 100 publicaciones científicas en revistas internacionales revisadas por pares, y su trabajo clínico e investigador ha contribuido significativamente al desarrollo y perfeccionamiento de los abordajes quirúrgicos para el tratamiento de la recesión gingival y la reconstrucción de tejidos blandos. Ha recibido varios premios internacionales por su investigación clínica, incluido el E. Bud Tarrson Research Award in Oral Plastic Surgery de la American Academy of Periodontology Foundation en 2006 y 2008, y el reconocimiento de la European Federation of Periodontology. Es Associate Editor del International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry y miembro de los consejos editoriales de las principales revistas de periodoncia.
