Welcome to the only orthodontic study club in Russia held in the English language!
We are going to thoroughly revise the topic of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) with the experts in the filed, Dr. Sanjivan Kandasamy from Australia and Dr. Charles S. Greene from USA. We will outline the role of the orthodontist in the management of TMD.
As usual, we also are going to present and discuss several clinical cases.
IMPORTANT: The cost of participation in the event for residents is 6000 ₽.
The venue of the event is Moscow, Trekhprudny lane, 11/13, p.2 “Rebus”.

Experto mundialmente reconocido en trastornos temporomandibulares, oclusión y ortodoncia basada en evidencia.
Más de 27 años de experiencia clínica, docente y de investigación combinada en ortodoncia. Experto en trastornos temporomandibulares y su relación con tratamiento ortodóncico, evaluación crítica de afirmaciones de ortodoncia de vías respiratorias, protocolos de tratamiento basados en evidencia y enfoques sistemáticos a maloclusiones complejas. Conocido por enfoque científico riguroso desafiando filosofías de tratamiento no respaldadas. Investigación enfocada en TMD y ortodoncia, influencia de crecimiento craneofacial en resultados de tratamiento, relaciones oclusales y evaluación basada en evidencia de conceptos ortodóncicos emergentes.
Fellow de Royal College of Dental Surgeons in the Special Field of Orthodontics (FDS RCS Edin, 2014), uno de solo 9 ortodoncistas mundialmente con esta distinción. Receptor de P. Raymond Begg Research Award (2016), premio más prestigioso de Australian Orthodontic Society Foundation por investigación original destacada, reconociendo sus contribuciones a investigación TMD, ortodoncia y oclusión (séptimo ortodoncista en recibir este honor desde 1980). Miembro de Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MOrthRCS Edin). Fellow de Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Orthodontics (FRACDS Ortho). Assistant Editor de Australian Orthodontic Journal. Revisor para American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Angle Orthodontist, Seminars in Orthodontics, y Orthodontics - The Art and Practice of Dentofacial Enhancement. Editor de "Temporomandibular Disorders in Orthodontics: A Clinical Guide" (Wiley-Blackwell, 2015, co-editado con Dr. Charles Greene), primer y único libro de texto integral sobre ortodoncia y TMD. Autor de numerosas publicaciones revisadas por pares y siete capítulos de libros de texto. Conferenciante internacional presentando en Australia, Estados Unidos, Europa, Rusia y Asia sobre temas incluyendo evaluación basada en evidencia de ortodoncia de vías respiratorias, manejo TMD en pacientes ortodóncicos y análisis crítico de filosofías de tratamiento no respaldadas.

Enseñando en UWA desde 2005, progresando de Clinical Tutor a Clinical Senior Lecturer a profesorado actual.
Dr. Greene graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. He has been involved for many years in clinical research and teaching in the area of temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain.
From 1965-1984 he worked in the College of Dentistry's TMJ and Facial Pain Research Center. From 1986 to 1995 he was co-director of Northwestern University Dental School's TMD Clinic. After returning to UIC in 1995, Dr. Greene has served as Director of Orofacial Pain Studies. He was a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at UIC until he retired in 2018.
He has published over 150 articles, book chapters, and abstracts, and recently was co-editor of several books about temporomandibular disorders.
Practising orthodontist who works part-time as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics at the Sechenov University.
Dr. Yakoub teaches undergraduate students and orthodontic residents.
Orthodontist at Face Smile Center, a clinic specialised in orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Ditmarov writes his orthodontic blog, OrthodonticGrammar.com.
