Programa

The course focuses on the BOPT concept (Vertical Freedom Concept), covering everything from the principles of vertical tooth preparation to emergence profile development, soft tissue adaptation, and final restoration.

Under the guidance of Dr. Stefano Conti, you will explore the key stages of the protocol and learn how the shape and contours of the temporary crown, the position of its margin, and the emergence profile relate to the development of gingival architecture.

Special attention is given to soft tissue management without surgical intervention, including cervical contour modification, gingival height and thickness management, and Biodynamic Soft Tissue Shaping.

The course integrates analog and digital workflows, from sulcus mapping and step-by-step vertical tooth preparation to analog and digital impression-taking, defining the final crown margin position, and collaboration with the dental laboratory.

What you will learn:

— Vertical tooth preparation (BOPT): a step-by-step protocol, preparation depth control, and prevention of common errors

— Temporary crown management: relining, emergence profile development, and prosthetic contour design

— Soft tissue management: principles of gingival architecture development and management of cervical contours, gingival height, and thickness

— Analog and digital workflows: impression-taking techniques with and without retraction cords, and determination of the final restoration margin position

— From clinic to laboratory: understanding the relationship between clinical procedures and the final restoration design.

This course is designed for prosthodontists, periodontists, general dentists, and dental technicians who wish to deepen their knowledge of aesthetic restorative dentistry, better understand the relationship between prosthetic contours and soft tissues, and master protocols that can be applied in everyday clinical practice.

Learning outcome: a systematic understanding of the BOPT concept and its analog and digital workflows — from tooth preparation and temporary crown management to gingival contour development, impression-taking, and final restoration cementation.

Program

Course Aim:

To provide practitioners with useful techniques that can be applied immediately after attending the course, improving the quality and predictability of their work and providing new protocols to achieve functional and aesthetic results in everyday dentistry through a minimally invasive approach.

Learning objectives:

— Learn how to perform the B.O.P.T. technique (Vertical Freedom Concept), including tooth preparation, provisional relining, impression-taking and final cementation

— Learn how to increase soft tissue thickness around teeth

— Master gingival architecture through a minimally invasive approach: Biodynamic Soft Tissue Shaping

— Understand papillae and facial gingival dynamics around natural teeth.

Who is the course for?

— Prosthodontists

Those who wish to have complete control over the position of the gingival zenith.

Those who want to create ideal gingival architecture using a minimally invasive approach.

— Periodontists

Those who want to understand the advantages of a new prosthetic approach for achieving stable soft tissue over time.

Those who want to learn how to increase and manipulate soft tissue thickness using a non-surgical approach.

— General dentists

Those who want advanced training in aesthetic restorative dentistry.

Those who wish to apply the technique immediately after the course.

— Dental technicians

Those who want to fully understand the final design of dental crowns with vertical preparation.

Those who wish to have complete control over the final positioning of a new prosthetic cementoenamel junction (PCEJ).
