Programa
How do you choose the right surgical approach when anatomical limitations, bone deficiencies, and soft tissue contour challenges complicate implant treatment?
This course explores modern approaches to bone and soft tissue augmentation in the posterior regions of the jaws, from treatment planning and technique selection to surgical risk management and complication prevention.
Led by Algirdas Puisys, co-author of Zero Bone Loss Concepts book, the course will cover the key principles of bone preservation and their application to complex clinical cases.
The focus is not only on surgical techniques, but also on clinical decision-making: how to assess the indications and limitations of different methods, select the most appropriate approach based on anatomical conditions, and plan treatment when standard solutions may not be sufficient.
What you will learn:
— Immediate implant placement in the posterior maxilla: case selection, implant positioning, and primary stability
— Bone augmentation: horizontal and vertical techniques, guided bone regeneration (GBR), ridge expansion, and bone splitting
— Soft tissue management: flap design, tissue handling, and tension-free wound closure
— Sinus augmentation: approach selection, indications, and the prevention and management of complications
Course takeaways: a more structured approach to implant treatment planning, a clearer understanding of the indications and limitations of key augmentation techniques, and practical guidance for selecting the appropriate surgical strategy in complex clinical scenarios.
VIP participants will have the exclusive opportunity to attend the practical portion of the course as observers.
You will witness the instructor perform each step while receiving detailed, step-by-step explanations of all clinical decisions. This unique format lets you experience real techniques in action and fully grasp the clinician’s decision-making process.

Day 2 (April 23)
Demonstration Masterclass: VIP Participants Only
Format: Observer
1. Soft tissue management in the posterior mandible
Flap design and elevation, flap release, graft placement and stabilization, and suturing for tension-free closure.
2. Bone augmentation in the posterior mandible
Prepare the recipient site, place and contour graft material, adapt and fix a membrane, and close the wound.
3. Sinus lift
Crestal access and lateral window preparation, membrane elevation and graft placement on suitable models. Discuss management of a simulated membrane perforation.
